Summer has flown by

So, this summer has flown by and the school year is almost here. I wonder how many people are like me and feel like just yesterday it was June!

It’s been a busy summer for me. Unfortunately, not a lot of art has occurred but I do have a few new pieces on my website. There have been a few changes for me over the summer including changing my non-art job twice since the end of April. Unlike some artists, I’m not able to do art full-time and help support my family. I had to go back to work full-time in the late spring and I’ve had a difficult time finding time to be in my studio this summer between full-time work hours and family time.

I was lucky enough to do a relatively spontaneous vending day on July 25th in front of Art of the Woman Gallery in Emmaus, PA. I met some wonderful people and was able to show off some of my larger pieces that the gallery can’t showcase. I did some live painting that day as well.

As the fall is about to start I’m thinking about the holidays already. If you’re thinking about gifts for the holiday season, commissioned art is a perfect, unique gift for that special someone in your life (or yourself). I am currently open for commissions for the holidays but please note that spaces are limited. I will make an announcement when I need to close commissions.
